Hi, I'm Kara. Every Zeequa clock starts as a bare wooden frame on my workbench. The shelves are cut, sanded and painted by hand, the tiny books are folded one by one, and every candle is wired and tested before it goes in the box.

Over the last few weeks our little clocks went viral on TikTok and Instagram, and orders arrived faster than our small studio has ever seen. We could rush them. We'd rather keep making them the slow, careful way.

Diameter 55–60 cm (21.5–23.5 in), depth about 10 cm (4 in), weight about 2.5 kg (5.5 lb). Birch wood case and shelves with three coats of hand-brushed paint and a matte wax finish. Miniature books are hand-bound in paper and faux leather; the art prints sit in tiny wooden frames; the vase is ceramic-look resin.

The tea candles and the mini lamp are warm-white LEDs with a natural flicker, switched on and off together from a switch on the back. They run on the included batteries for roughly 120 hours of evenings, stay cool to the touch and are safe around children, pets and paperbacks. No open flame, ever.

A quiet quartz movement with a sweeping second hand, so there is no ticking in a silent room. It runs on one AA battery (included) and the hands are set from the back.

Every clock leaves our Los Angeles studio with tracking, and you get an email the moment it ships. Because every clock is handmade to order, please allow 4–5 weeks from order to delivery.
