Privacy policy

Zeequa Studio ("Zeequa", "we", "us") makes handcrafted miniature-library wall clocks and sells them through this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit or buy from zeequa.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short on purpose; if anything is unclear, email us at hello@zeequa.com.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you place an order, create an account, join our email list, or contact us, we collect what you type in: your name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, phone number, and the contents of your messages. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Shop Pay, Afterpay) and never reach our servers.

Information collected automatically. Like most online stores we receive device information when you browse: IP address, browser and device type, time zone, the pages you viewed, what you searched for, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected with cookies, pixels and similar tools (see "Cookies" below).

Information from others. Our store runs on Shopify, and we use a small number of apps for email marketing, reviews and analytics. They may share order and browsing data with us so the store works as expected.

How we use it

To fulfil your order: processing payment, shipping the clock, sending order confirmations and tracking, and handling returns or warranty claims.
To talk to you: answering questions, sending pre-order updates, and, if you opted in, sending our newsletter. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
To run the store: preventing fraud, keeping the site secure, understanding which pages and products people care about, and improving the shop.
To meet legal obligations: tax records, accounting, and responding to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information. We never share your email list signup with anyone for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders. Shopify's privacy policy is at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
Payment processors named above, to take your payment.
Carriers (for example USPS, UPS, DHL) to deliver your order; they receive your name, address and phone number.
Service providers for email, customer support, reviews and analytics, who may only use your data to provide their service to us.
Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of our customers.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep your cart, remember your preferences, measure how the site is used, and, with your consent where required, show relevant ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the cart and checkout need essential cookies to work. For a list of the cookies Shopify sets, see shopify.com/legal/cookies.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (including California, the EU and the UK) you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, object to or restrict some processing, and opt out of marketing. To use any of these rights, email hello@zeequa.com from the address on your account. We will respond within 30 days, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. You may still submit a request to know or delete, and designate an authorised agent to do so.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as we need them for warranty, tax and accounting purposes (generally seven years). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Browsing data is kept in aggregate form only.

Security

Our store is served over HTTPS, payment details are tokenised by our processors, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No system is perfect; if we ever learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you as the law requires.
