Terms of service

These terms apply when you use zeequa.com or buy from Zeequa Studio ("Zeequa", "we", "us"). By placing an order you agree to them. We've written them in plain language; where a section needs to be formal, it is.

1. Our products

Zeequa clocks are handcrafted. Shelf layouts, book colours and the placement of miniatures vary slightly from piece to piece and from the photos; that's the point, and it isn't a defect. Dimensions are listed on each product page. LED candles and lamps are battery powered and are not open flames.

2. Orders and pre-orders

An order is accepted when we send the shipping confirmation, not the order confirmation. We may cancel an order before shipping if a product is unavailable, priced incorrectly, or we suspect fraud; in that case you receive a full refund. Pre-order ship windows are estimates; if a window changes by more than two weeks we'll tell you and you may cancel for a full refund.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars unless your checkout shows another currency. Sales tax is added for US addresses where required. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, processed by Shopify Payments, PayPal, Shop Pay and Afterpay under their own terms. Discount codes cannot be combined unless stated.

4. Shipping, returns and warranty

Our Shipping policy, Return and refund policy and 2-year craftsmanship warranty form part of these terms.

5. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account password private and for activity under your account. Tell us at once if you think it has been misused.

6. Reviews and content you send us

If you post a review or send us photos of your clock, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use them on our site and social channels, and you confirm you have the right to share them. We may remove content that is offensive, false or unrelated to the product.

7. Our content

The Zeequa name, logo, product designs, photographs, videos and text on this site belong to us and may not be copied or used commercially without written permission.

8. Safety

Mount the clock using the supplied bracket and anchors into a wall that can carry its weight, following the installation guide. Keep small miniatures and batteries away from children under three. We are not responsible for damage caused by improper mounting.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product or this site is limited to the amount you paid for that product. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. If something goes wrong, email us first; we resolve almost everything within a few days. Any dispute that can't be resolved will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
